My Abu Dhabi Zayed Airport photo in AGBI news

Abu Dhabi Zayed Airport photo published in UAE business news

Google just notified me that Arabian Gulf Business Insight (AGBI), a business news platform based in London with a newsroom in Dubai, published my Abu Dhabi Zayed Airport photo.

The article headlined, “Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Airport opens for non-flying shoppers” is about the airport testing a “shopping pass” that lets non-travelers enter the airport to shop and dine. You can check the article here.

Visitors pre-register, use a QR code, and must book time slots. The goal is to boost retail revenue as flight disruptions reduce passenger traffic.

The photo was taken in 2013 when I had a layover during my Paris trip when I was invited to join the opening of Photoquai 2013 where I had my work, The New Cathedrals was exhibited. I was the lone Filipino in that group show.

The photo belongs to my stock image archive with Alamy, and Reuters used it in the article.

I’ve been with Alamy since 2007 and I have 13,960 stock images with them. I do get a sale from time to time.
