Cebu Pacific Smile Magazine published my National Museum of the Philippines Cebu images in its October 2023 issue. It is the airline’s inflight magazine.
The National Museum of the Philippines Cebu is a remarkable cultural landmark. It occupies the historic Aduana, or old customs building, designed by renowned architect William Parsons and completed in 1910. Over the decades, this iconic structure has served many purposes, including becoming Malacañang sa Sugbo during the presidency of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in 2004.
After the devastating earthquake of 2023, the building suffered significant damage, prompting a massive rehabilitation effort. By 28 July 2023, officials inaugurated it as the newest component museum under the National Museum of the Philippines. Just a few days later, on 1 August 2023, the museum officially opened its doors to the public, offering locals and tourists an opportunity to explore Cebu’s rich history and culture.
My original portfolio site, estancabigas.com, expired and ceased, so I secured the domain stancabigas.com in 2019. I will be doing a series of catch up posts where my work has been published in print and online.
